The Offensive post of the Year

Brace Yourselves,
This time I am all set to lash out on some sick minds, and yeah get offended, that's all you could do possibly.

Since, my readers constitute people from other countries, let me break down this situation to easier bits.

I'm from India. A beautiful country with all that the advertisements lure you to. But yes, I agree everything's got a bad side too. We too have some sick rules, laws, beliefs and customs. Oh, forgot the huge part- ours is a DEMOCRACY.

Let's all begin with the very infamous #beefban. Like, are you even serious ?

FACTS-
1.India is a SECULAR country; which means there is no official religion.
2.While Hinduism is the major religious community, there coexists several other communities.
3.Cow is considered sacred to the Hindu Community
 &
Now the #Beefban.

Hello , logic? Are you there ? logic ???
Someone please explain this to me, how can a secular country force the belief on one particular religion over the others? Does that even make sense ?It is clearly nonsense.

Oh please, you might want to worship cows, go ahead ! Don't go about ordering us to not have that plate of spicy , tangy beef fry.

If still no sense gets into that pot, hear me. I worship hens. Hen is holy to my community. Let's get hens and eggs banned too.
( All readers please note that it was indeed a sarcastic comment, please do not get started on banning them too! #senselesslaws )

Don't even get me started on the laws in our country for heinous crimes and rape!

Well, an incident happened a month ago. I'm an architecture student and yeah we make models. I always use natural trees and plants as part of my model. So, one day , I went on for the suitable plant hunt and voila ; found some really good ones and they smelt really nice. There I was making my model, and hours before the jury my friends asks me to rethink about my trees.

Why Rethink ?
The plant I had selected was Tulsi. And this was auspicious for certain religious community.
Well, in architecture you have juries, and in juries you get screwed up basically. I was even warned by one of my friend that the jury members could possibly get offended and might fail me.
Petrified and agitated at the same time, I had no choice but to go ahead with my model. God's Grace or whatever you may want to call it, I had really good jury members who were only critical about my design. Very critical indeed !

Now tell me, How the hell was I supposed to know about this plant that could have possibly ruined my jury ?

My dear Friends, who are not possibly offended as yet, these are just very few things that happen in our country, very few.
Another interesting one was my Computer Modelling Jury, Oh God! I was roasted for choosing a survey on "#Drinking" - ( Note- in India , drinking refers to alcohol and alcohol only) while I was supposed to be assessed on my Photoshop skills !

Sad but true , our country is filled with such sick minds who twist down their beliefs and religious sentiments all way through.
I repeat, sick minds and not a problem with primitive thoughts and beliefs- Oh did I start another topic. Damn, I could go on and on in this topic. I could be the Minister of Offending People or may be making sense.

Aah, anyone there still reading ?
Let's get started on #reservations

This is not bragging or anything but yeah, I'm a totally good student as far as academics are concerned. I am currently in SPA,Vijayawada, one of the most prestigious architecture colleges in India. I am here just because of my hard work and efforts in my exams - Pure Merit
What hurts and taunts me the most is that I share my class with several others who just got there because of their caste. Seriously, give it a thought!

It just gets worse when you find out more than half of them end up in that category.
It doesn't end here, #Reservationbasedscholarships . What on earth where these people thinking while making these laws.

Not all  upper caste people are Rich
And not all reserved community are poor.
Adding to this,
Not all NRI's are rich - get your facts updated folks!

Well, the list goes on...
India is indeed a beautiful country and I wish we have some sensible leaders on top in near future.

Oh Yeah , I believe in #monarchy. Democracy has just turned into a bunch of political parties who shame each other except for a very few.
And that's why I love Bahrain , setting example since years.
A country where expatriates enjoy the best of everything without any senseless restrictions.
Kuch toh seekho !

Talking of Monarchy, can we get Mahendra Bahubali to rule India ? No, just asking.

Signing off and waiting for all offended people's response.

Comments

  1. Bold statements. Keep it up.

Monarchy or democracy or whatever system it may be, human beings are going to rule. We human beings have a filthy heart. This is the major source of our problems. If we allow sick minded people to rule us, our lives will also be sick. If the pure hearted rule us, our lives will also be good. What can purify our filthy hearts? Only blood of Christ can purify our hearts.

Proverbs 29:2 When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.

  2. Hey Reshmy Chechi,
You are true about our country. I am in 12th right now and I wrote the JEE main model exam with a eleventh standard base. My score was 56 and their the qualifying score was 110 for the general category and ST cut off was 40..
anybody with 11th standard base can pass the examination if he or she is an ST candidate.....
    This totally unfair...
    Fantastic post....
    Keep writing....
    ,Joel
PS: I got offended and I'm reporting :-)
