Wish Fulfilled

Wishes like waves,
Swept off like never before
Each time grew stronger
waiting to be fulfilled.

Each passing shooting star,
Had handful of my wishes to fulfil,
While each of them had their share,
I was left alone with none.

Moments passed by as hours,
Days passed by as years,
Never had I felt this long before,
Time just never got right.

All this while, I waited,
Wait that never grew tired,
Uncertainty lurked like a thief,
Stealing the last bits of shattered hope.

For your smile, for your happiness,
For your health, for your success,
All that had I wished for, by your side.

All stories got an happy end,
Mine too.
Wishes fulfilled ,
Except that I never was a part.

It took whole of me, to see

somebody by your side.

sense reckoned and twirled;

Meant to be, had become.

Wishes do come true,
Some or all, but my first wish
never made upto the list.
While I count on my wishes again,
I happily could say,
Wish Fulfilled!
